WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
The course is intended for churches seeking to refresh and grow their teams to provide pastoral care. It is suitable for any thoughtful Christian, including pastors, elders, pastoral care team members, small group leaders and others.

Paul can be booked to run the course for you. Suggested payment per session and his approach to payments can eb found on here.
WHAT WILL WE GET?
Paul will deliver the course in person in your venue to the group you invite. He will make digital copies of his PowerPoint slides available to download. He can also bring copies of his book Keeping Care Pastoral for purchase at a reduced rate.
WHAT DOES THE COURSE COVER?
The course can comprise between four and seven two-hour sessions. The details for the four-session version follow. Sessions 2, 3 and 4 can all be split into two two-hour sessions depending on your needs, to provide deeper training in the areas they cover.

What is pastoral care? Understanding needs, health and the help we can bring in light of the gospel.
Session 2 Soul Care Without Words
Biblical foundations and practical advice for the ministries of presence (including listening) and provision.
Session 3 Soul Cure With Words
Biblical foundations and practical advice for the ministries of intercession (prayer) and instruction (biblical guidance).
Session 4 A Caring Community
Ideas to structure provision of care and principles for setting healthy boundaries in provision of care.
