Paul is a supported Christian worker, meaning he depends on the prayers and financial support of churches and individuals and tentmaking work outside the Christian sector to enable him to offer his services in the Christian sector on a 'pay what you can afford' basis.

This does not mean that Paul works unaccountably or independent. He has the following measures in place to help ensure he serves wisely and faithfully:

  • accountability to the board of the Centre for Christianity in Society and the elders of his local church;

  • ethical standards and commitments laid out in a personal code of conduct; and,

  • partnership with various organisations and churches, serving them by invitation within their needs.

However, he is not an employee of, or salaried from, any organisation or church. In tax terms he is self-employed, meaning he makes a self-assessment tax return of all his income. His income derives from a combination of personal support from churches and individuals, payment for services, royalties from book sales, and tentmaking work outside the Christian sector.

How to support Paul in his ministry

Paul is thankful for partners in his service for the Lord who support him in either of two ways:

PRAYER - as the apostle Paul says, when we pray for people who minister the gospel, we "strive together" with them (Romans 15 v30). Please that the Lord will open doors for Paul Coulter and that he might take those opportunities to speak clearly and courageously for Christ (Colossians 4 v4). FINANCE - the apostle Paul also testified to how financial support from God's people enabled his ministry to be fruitful and how he received it as the Lord's provision and saw it as a sacrifice pleasing to the Lord (Philippians 4 v14-20). Paul Coulter is partially supported in ministry through donations from individuals and churches. There are two ways to do this depending on whether you are eligible to give with gift aid:

  • UK tax paying individuals wishing to donate with gift aid, please use the 'Donate to support Paul' button and you'll be redirected to Paul's Stewardship page. This option also allows anonymous giving. By giving with gift aid, the value of your donation will be increased by 25p for every £1. Stewardship charges an administrative fee, which is less than the benefit of the gift aid on your donation.

  • Churches or organisations and individuals who are not UK tax payers, please use the 'Request Bank Details' button and Paul will send you bank details by email so you can make a one off bank transfer or set up a standing order for regular donations. This option means there is no administrative charge, so Paul will receive the full amount of your donation, but your payment cannot be anonymous.
