Paul lives in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, with his wife and two teenaged children. As Executive Director of Christianity in Society, he helps Christians, churches and organisations towards Christ-centred thinking and living through speaking, consultancy and training. His teaching and writing draw on years spent alongside people in medical, pastoral, educational and community settings. He now works across Ireland and beyond, encouraging Christians to follow Jesus with clarity, integrity and hope.

His writing and speaking grow from years rejoicing and weeping alongside people in medical, pastoral, educational and community contexts, learning how Christ is Lord in everyday life. For recreation he enjoys walking hills, writing poetry, reading history and unhurried conversations over coffee.

He is the author of numerous books and articles on cultural engagement, leadership, mission and pastoral care, and provides consultancy, mentoring and training in these areas. He holds degrees in medical genetics, medicine and theology, and a PhD in divinity, and has worked in medical, pastoral, youth and charity management contexts.
